RippleRex Cattery
Kitten Applicant Questionnaire
This questionnaire is a guideline to help me get to know potential new homes for my kittens. It is not meant to offend anyone, in anyway. I am sure that any animal lover will understand that I truly care where my kittens are going and who will take care of them. It will not obligate you in any way, but will show that you are fairly serious about taking one of my kittens to live with you forever.
Have you done any research on the Devon Rex ?
1. Please send your name, address, phone number and email address.
2. How long have you lived at the previous address?
If less than a year, where did you live previously and for how long.
3. How many people are in the family and what are their ages.
4. Who will be the primary caregiver to this kitten/kittens.
5. What do the adults in the home do for a living?
6. Do you rent or own your home? If you rent, are animals allowed?
7. Are you planning any big changes in the future (i.e. getting married, having a baby, adopting, moving etc.). If so how does the new kitten fit into your plans?
8. Are you looking for a pet, a show cat or a breeder?
9. Do you have other pets? Can you tell me about them.
10. Have you ever given a pet back to the breeder, given it away, or surrendered it to an animal shelter?
11. Is everyone in the home behind the idea of getting a new kitten?
12. If you are going away, what do you plan to do with the kitten, and who will take care of it. A Devon Rex cannot be left alone for a few days without human companionship. This is something important to think about.
13. How long will the kitten be left alone while you are working during the day. Devons do not do well being left alone for long periods of time. If some one is not home for long stretches, then you should consider 2 kittens for company for one another.
14. Are you agreeable to feeding the kitten the raw diet that it is used to eating, for the rest of its life. Are you interesting in learning about feeding a cat in the proper manner?
